John-Mark and I were on a mission last weekend to re-upholster our antique dining room chairs.
They were a wedding gift to us from my parents. The blue chairs were in good condition, fabric and all, but after 5 years they started to tatter. The brown chairs were re-upholstered and re-stained but we decided to recover them as well so all 4 chairs would match. We also decided to cut new wood for our brown chairs...they were so unsteady. I always found myself telling our guests "Don't sit on that one or that one...it might collapse on you!" We love how they turned out and it was such a fun project to do together.
Taking out old nails and staples.
Staple gunning new fabric

Excellent. more useful chairs for our bums...
I think my parents had chairs like these that were my great grandma's. They must have been popular! Funny! Good job on them!
Hope you have a happy and safe 4th! My sister and brother-in-law are coming over for dinner and fireworks. The boys are very excited!
I have so many pics from our trip to post to our website. Once I get them on, hopefully this weekend, I will send you the link to check them out.
I love it! It has inspired me to recover our chairs on our own.. yippee.. fun project when we get home. Miss y'all.
