We Live For The Weekend!

The weeks are so busy and full. Sometimes I feel like all I do is cook, clean up, change diapers, nurse, correct my kids...discipline my kids....correct my kids some more and stare at the dirty laundry waiting to be washed or stare at the clean laundry waiting to be put away. Weekends are cherished...especially because Papa is home all day and we can enjoy some time together just the 5 of us. So much easier to do all of the above when you have a partner in crime to help you. JM is such a help to me, especially with the kiddos. I often will tell him that I wish I could just play with the kids more...but other house hold duties like cooking, laundry, cleaning up get in the way. I need to work at just leaving stuff....leave the mess I guess (although it will drive me nuts and come back to bite me later) and just get on the floor and play. JM is so good at playing with the kids...he chases them, lets them climb all over him, plays card games with them on the floor....they love it and Mondays are always hard when Papa goes back to work.

This weekend we did a whole lot of things that we love......here are some photos taken with JM's iPhone...some by JM, me and Gabriella. :)

Check out our new wheels. A very special gift from my parents and sister. We feel so blessed and are enjoying the "BOB" so much. Definitely the Cadillac of all strollers. Sooo smooth. We put some miles on it this weekend. (*note the clean laundry basket on the left..ha!)

First stop of the weekend...Pick up little Grandma and then off to Grandpa and Grandma's house to pick some tangelos. Their tree was overflowing as they are out of town at the moment. Tangelos were screaming to be picked. 3 huge bags! Lots of juicing going on.

The girl took this photo too.

After that we went to the El Dorado Nature Park near my folks house. We are considering getting a yearly pass as we and the kids love it! The BOB loved it too. So many things to see. Lots of trees, shrubs, flowers and berries, squirrels, bunnies, birds, fish, turtles...So fun. You forget you're in the suburbs.

Gabriella's photo...she told me she blurred me out cause I wasn't looking...I'll know for next time. :)

Saturday night our Jude came down with the Chicken Pox. Sissy had it 2 weeks ago, now it's his turn. Praying that Ansel will be immune for now. Sunday morning....had to miss church again....
Chicken Pox free kids...

Making Sunday Night Dinner. Cutting up my veggies for soup.

The reality of our kitchen on the weekends...a mess...veggies on the left...dirty dishes on the right.
While I was making soup JM and the kids planted some seeds for our organic garden this spring. Jude loves his sissy's pink hat. He also got to wear her old Dora gloves...glad he's confident in his masculinity.
JM is giving Gabriella her own little plot of soil to take care of this year. So glad she's learning how to garden and loving it.

Blue pen mustache, dirt in the eye and the beginning of chicken pox

We're having a good week so far..Jude is still itchy but healing, home school done...I know what I'm making for dinner tonight portabello Mushroom burgers, baby is sleeping soundly....things are good..think I'll go play with the kids now....(still looking forward to this weekend though.:)
