10 years ago she married this handsome full head of hair young man
10 years ago he married this wrinkle free young lady
10 years ago they had no idea of the life ahead....
or how rich it would be.....
2 kids...yes, I said kids...tying the knot...not really a care in the world....
no dishes to do, no bills to be paid, no kiddos to bathe, no laundry piling up, no diapers to change.......
it was just them...committing themselves to one another.....
an entire life ahead of them.....their future looked bright.....
10 years ago they became "one"
10 years ago they became each other's family......it was meant to be.
years later they still love to reminisce of how it all came about......
how the two met in an art class...
how they made it official and sealed it with a kiss....
the young man proposed on warm fall day and....
on these very steps they stood as man and wife for the first time....
They were Mr. and Mrs. to the world this very day.....
and began life as a new family.....
which God grew......
and grew and grew
This is not the end of their story....
but the beginning of a new one...
for in these 10 years these youngsters not only lived a life of
good times
joy
peace
happiness
fun
they learned a bit of what it means to
to be committed
to be a servant
to say I'm sorry
to communicate
to be selfless
to be faithful
to be teachable
to be honest
to love
to love wholeheartedly...
in the midst of trials....
hardships...
frustrations....
difficulties.....
for it was not solely their commitment to each other
that kept them together....
but their commitment to their Maker who found them for each other.
They give praise to the One who designed them for each other
They give praise to the One for their life together
their blessings...
their children...
their health.....
their home....
their faith....
each other.
today and from this day forward...
till death or until He comes again
I love you Johanny.
Thank you for a blessed and adventure filled 10 years of marriage.
That was a blink....
yet I don't know life without you.....
here's to 60 more years....
