Here is a peak into our 2013 Christmas. It was a busy time as usual but we took time to do some of our favorite Christmas traditions and other special things...We finished painting our nativity set from last year, make some salt dough Christmas ornaments (and forgot to take a picture of them after we painted them), celebrated Advent with this book this year, visited crazy Christmas light neighborhoods, watched Charlie Brown Christmas and enjoyed watching Gabriella in her Christmas play at Church. After our Christmas celebrations with our family, and my folks, we went up to Reedley to spend some time with JM's folks. Here are some snap shots...
Salt Dough Ornaments....easy and most enjoyable
"Ansel! No, honey, it's not a cookie, don't eat it!"
If she could, this girl would craft all day...
After we made the dough, we made a hole at the top, baked them, painted them and added a string. They were so cute and nice little gifts for our neighbors and family
We celebrated Christmas morning a couple days early because we would be traveling to Reedley on the 24th.
Ansel loves his Diego books.
Rainbow Loom!! The excitement was outrageous!
Little Grandpa's old magnifying glass. Discovered it while packing up my Grandma's home. Got her blessing to give it to Jude. He like it and it's a nice memory of my Grandpa.
Harmonicas for the boys. Ah yeah.
Paper Source.....click on the link and you will know why this girl was blessed. Lots of crafty treats.
On the 23rd we celebrated with my family. Cookies with Auntie Mo.
Dad has been doing great! Praise God! He's always cold though...even when it's 75 degrees in their house...hence his little mittens. He's doing well, eating well and exercising. We are grateful!
Homemade gifts for Grandma
Uncle Ronnie and his sweet gal Nora (whose originally from Dublin and an illustrator, hence our gift to her...) Btw, these books are the most amazing children's books by Sasek. We have This is Munich, This is Paris and This is Ireland. Would love to get more for our collection.

Adidas sweats from Auntie Mo Mo...Walkie Talkies and other tricks from Uncle Ronnie
On the 24th we headed down to Reedley.
On Christmas Day we were greeted by the rich warm sun....70 degrees! Beautiful. We had a picnic outside on Christmas Day. The kids had so much fun on the farm and stayed in their PJs for most of the day. Every kiddo has a tree on the property commemorating the day they were born. We have a tree that was planted after we got married 10 years ago. It's gargantuan now.
Here is Jude's tree!! Getting bigger and bigger. Remember when we planted it?
Here's Ansel's
Wheelbarrow ride
Time to pick oranges, mandarins and grapefruits! 12 citrus trees on their property. I think I would go wild. Came home with bagggggs!
Opa and Uncle Aaron
Rarely do I get shots of JM and myself. Here are a couple. Thanks Opa.
My honeys
Omi and Opa
Making Candy Cane cookies. A Grandma Warkentin tradition.
Wish I had some shots of the Warkentin Christmas party and our trip up to Moro Rock/Sequoia National Park. Maybe I will have JM download some photos from his iPhone.
Such a great Christmas time together.
