Our Bedroom Makeover

I've been meaning for months now to blog about my finished bedroom. Remember the door/headboard that JM finally finished staining? I think this was back in January!

Over the last several months I've been adding color to the bed room as well as accessories. I really like how it came out. It definitely needed color and a few tasties to make the room interesting.

Here is the Before

Here is the After

I made the little paper flowers above the bed out of coffee filters, and circle garland I made out of paint chip samples (cut them up into circles).

I inherited some small mirrors, frames and a vintage purse for the corner by the dress bust. My mom's thrift store donations are sometimes my little treasures. Incidentally, my parents gave me the two lamps for my birthday. Mercury glass bodies. Love them.

Pillows from Target and TJ Max. The right colors and good deals to boot.

She needed a belt to finish her off

Most days it seems like our room is in disarray with the bed unmade, clothes on the ground and toys and books on the floor. I so enjoy when it looks like this though. Maybe I should post a picture of what the bedroom looks like on most day! Oy Vey!
