Our little man turned 3 on October 10th. This was the first birthday he really anticipated and was excited for. He asked for several weeks before "Can I have a Lightning Birthday?" He was so excited to wake up to a Birthday table of Lightning McQueen. JM and I could hear the boys at 7am in their room. Jude said "Ansi, it's your birthday today!!" Then we heard Ansel and Jude as they discovered the decorated table in the dining room. "Look it, it's Lightning, it's Mater for my Birthday!!" I wish we had audio of their conversation. It was so cute.
I'm 3!!
Opening up a Birthday package from Omi and Opa.
All our kids love cards that play music or sing. He got one of these cards from both sets of Grandparents. Do they know him or what?
A special Lightning Book with an audio cd from Omi and Opa
New homework books from Mama and Papa so he can do school work like brother and sister. He feels big.
Opening his special cards and presents from Jude and Gabriella
He loves baby Jack Jack from the Incredibles (we just watched it for the first time over the weekend)...sissy made him a special card.
I made a special Birthday breakfast and some yummy gluten free banana/strawberry baked oatmeal muffins. Later in the day we had a little play time and a second round of Birthday muffins with with Auntie Renee, Willow and Malachi, our dear friends and neighbors.
In the evening we celebrated with some gluten free dark chocolate cupcakes that Papa made. So easy and delish. There were more presents from Auntie Mo and Grandma and Grandpa to open as well but didn't get any pictures of that. :( This boy was loved on!
As I lit the candle he said "Can you sing to me Happy Birthday?" Most days I want to eat this kid up.
Happy Birthday Ansel Finn. We love you so much little man. You bring our family such joy and laughter! You are an energetic and hilarious little guy with wit and funny words, yet tender and sweet. We love who God made you to be. What would we do without our Ansel? You are going to be a caring and loving big brother. Can't wait to see you in that new role. xoxo
*** Thank you Uncle Oscar and Auntie Laurie for your sweet card and $ for Ansel (and brother and sis). (Haven't had a chance to call you.)You are so thoughtful to always remember the kids. It's special for them to get your cards int he mail.***
