He Has Risen! He Has Risen Indeed!!

He has risen! He has risen indeed!!
What a full weekend we had! On Friday I sang in a small women's ensemble for Good Friday at our church. What a special and meaningful time that was. JM was able to enjoy some of it but a couple little boys needed his attention so he spent part of the time in the church lobby. :)

On Saturday we dyed eggs with the big kiddos. I would love to dye eggs with some natural dyes from fruits and veggies. I will put that on the list for next year. For now, PAAS and vinegar did the trick. We also went over to our park across the street and watched the Easter Egg Hunt that the Fullerton rotary club puts on every year. Mass eggs, mass kids, mass parents...our kids are content to watch for now....maybe next year they will run with all the other thousand kids....

Dying Eggs

This is how I spent my Saturday evening and Sunday morning....at a birth with dear friends. They had a beautiful beautiful water birth and now have a sweet baby girl.
I love assisting in this adventure we call labor. This is the team of midwives and assistants. Got home at 5am....sleepy. JM was a champ and took care of all 3 kids! Did some pumping for Ansel. He took the bottle well and I was thankful. I love my super hubby JM...RESPECT!

I felt up for going to church even though I slept only 3 hours...I felt it later boy! Went over to my folks house for a wonderful early Easter dinner. Mom cooked it up!! I think JM is still full. For those who don't know, my dad has been struggling with his health for about 6 months. He was diagnosed with mesothelioma (cancer in the lining of the lung). He's had major surgery, alternative cancer treatments and is on a strict diet. It's been a long long road for both he and my mom as well as my siblings. I've never seem my mom work so hard to take care of my dad. She's been his nurse 24/7. What an amazing, selfless, godly wife he has. There were times when dad couldn't even walk a few feet without loosing breath or feeling dizzy. He was on extra oxygen, heavy pain killers, had zero appetite, couldn't sleep, could hardly walk and talk without having a coughing fit. I could go on but you get the drift.

I am thankful to our LORD JESUS for what he has done in my dad's life through this circumstance. He is strong when we are weak! I am thankful and happy to report that dad is doing wonderfully! It only by the Lord that he's doing so well. Pray is powerful! He's looks great, although very thin (but they are working on that), is eating with a regular appetite, exercising, taking lots of supplements, driving now, enjoys a conversation without coughing, is on a wheat grass kick, even went to his VFW Fish Fry on Friday with mom and grandma, is attending church again....etc. Praise praise be to God! Thank you for your prayers. He still has a long road but God has given him strength and healing. He loved spending time with the kids this Easter. We enjoyed seeing him doing so well. :)
