Lots has happened over the past month or so. After 11 years, John-Mark's bosses decided to sell 206 Washington Street...the home of Post-Agency Advertising Company. They did not sell the company, just the business location. All designers, Art directors and both bosses will now be working remotely. John-Mark will also be able to work as a freelancer and peruse other projects on the side. So all of JM's colleagues are now working from home...except JM. Could you imagine working at home with me and 3 littles running around. Right. He and his close friend John (who works remotely as well) are leasing an office in......FULLERTON!!! Yes! Dream come true for us I tell you. JM is able to ride his bike everyday and is home by 5:15-5:30!! You heard me. It's a 6 minute bike ride from his office to home! JM was home most days at 6:45 when working in Santa Ana. It's been so wonderful to have him home early...which makes dinner earlier and there is still time to play and read and spend time with the kiddos before bed.
So last week the kids and I picked up JM after work, and went to dinner... sort of a last farewell to the Post Agency home. But first, I needed to do a little photo shoot of the house and the family so we can remember the way it was. It really is a gorgeous 1915 bungalow style home. The little couple who bought the house scored because it is full of character, beautiful built-ins, fireplace, cellar and a lovely landscaped backyard. JM's bosses really put a lot love into this home. Sad to say goodbye...well at least I'm sad...I'm the sentimental one.
Bye Bye Post Home.
This is JM's office and co-worker Freddy in the back. A Garage converted into a bright green designer's office. Cool environment to work in.
This is part of the garage but acts really as a foyer with Post's"Hall of Fame"on the walls.
This is just a small area of awards they've received....bragging wife I am.
Standing in the backyard patio looking into the Garage where JM works.
The bathroom at Post is Gabriella and Jude's favorite place...why? The pigs. There are shelves in the bathroom with tons of pigs....why? Don't know. But they love them, especially the one that actually lights up and squeals.
Yes, this is our daughter sitting on the toilet with a pig.

(btw...like Gabriella's green hair extension? She wanted to wear it. Who am I to argue with that fashion statement. Thank you Lois, our dear neighbor that gives our kids all kinds of fun treats)
This shot is opposite JM's office and is the back of the house. JM would often eat his lunch out here on the patio. You can see the open cellar door on the right. It would be a great wine cellar his boss Tim said to me.... yeah, ....or home school classroom I said!!
Very excited for this new chapter in our life. Change is hard and challenging and Good. God has taken great care of us in the midst of all of this. He specifically answered our prayers by allowing JM to work closer to home, the ability to come home earlier, by allowing John and him to work together (that's been a prayer request of JM and John for a couple years now) and the ability to work on other freelance projects. We are so grateful.
JM will miss his lunches out in this beautiful backyard but I think coming home for lunch from time to time will make up for that. :)
