JM was on vacation this week. We had such a great time despite our unfortunate mishap that happened last Saturday....in the middle of the night a drunk driver crashed into our van (and our neighbor's car) while it was parked on our street....totalled it. Praise the Lord no one was hurt. Ahh...I know it's just stuff but oh the inconvenience it has caused us this week...and on our vacation no less... I loved my mama van, I really did and was so thankful for it everyday. Sniff Sniff. Praying God will provide another one. Now back to our story....
We planned several days of fun for the family on our stay-cation. On Wednesday we went to the Skirball Cultural Center specifically to experience the wonderful Noah's Ark Exhibit! It was fantastic. Dear friends with children, please make this trek up to Los Angeles. It is so well worth it. Buy tickets in advanced.
The Noah's Ark is obviously not as big as the real ark but huge non the less and filled with wonderful hands on activities for kids. Inside the ark housed the most beautiful and creative animals you've ever seen, made from carved wood and reclaimed materials like tires, car seats, purses, fans, blinds, belts, etc. Here we are completing a side of Noah's ark by adding wood puzzle pieces to the frame.
Story time in with the new Gorillas. Check out the umpire's chest protector on the big gorilla and gloves on the baby gorilla.
The Zebra has tin cups for feet and Christmas bulbs for eyes.
Check out the coyote's belt tongue and the ram's bicycle handlebar horns in the back ground.
Miniature Ark to play with
Hugs from Pops after he fell off the step stool while playing with the Ark
Ansel's favorite playmate
Art time! There was a separate room downstairs where the kids made their own welcome banner using fabrics and paints and textures.
Funny boy

Mama approve.
Oh and I met Alyson Hannigan http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004989/and talked to her for a bit. I had zero clue of the TV shows and movies she's been in but I did know she was in the More Business of Being Born documentary sequel. We talked birth...not Hollywood. That was fun.
My little Artists.
