Here we come, walking down the street we get the funniest looks from everyone we meet.....
Hey, Hey we're the Monkees!
Last fall JM took me to see the Monkees at the Greek Theater. We had a blast, a fantastic time and amazing seats.
When I heard they were coming to Long Beach this summer I wanted to take the kids. Sadly you have to be 5 years of age at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach. So, that meant date night with Gabriella! Fun!!
A Midsummer's Night With The Monkees
Still so sad Davy isn't with us anymore. He really was my very favorite. Even in his absence, it was such a fun show and they had a couple nice tribute to Davy.
Papa designed a T-shirt for us. Awesome....complete with mustaches
I made one for Jude Man too...he was pleased.:)
Monkee shirts & Morning faces
Getting ready to go to the concert...Papa took lots of pictures...Jude likes the camera
"I'm sad I can't go to the concert Mama!"
We made a sign for Gabriella....It's my First Monkees Concert!
The Terrace Theater in Downtown Long Beach
While we waited there was some really fun Monkee footage from their show.
Did I mention we were sitting in the 4th row!! Outta sight!!

Mike Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork.
A treat to see Papa Nez again. Such an great song writer. These chums are in their late 60s / early 70s and are still rockin.

So, a sweet college age girl sitting next to us gave Gabriella her hand-made Davy hat. We recognized it from the Monkees TV show end credits and complimented her on the cool hat...she in turn said to Gabriella"Oh thank you, you can have it!" So kind and sweet. What a gift!
Here's the hat on Davy
What a memorable time we had. It was so fun to be there with Gabriella and sing and dance our hearts out. I don't think that in 1987, when I went to my first Monkees concert, that I would be watching them on stage 26 years later with my 7 year old daughter. It was awesome. My girl, she was all tuckered out and fell asleep on the way home. Way past her bedtime and so well worth it.
