1995....I was a Senior in College at Biola. 22 years old. A friend introduced me to this band and I've been following them ever since. I've seen them live in Illinois, Portland Oregon, Boston, and all over California....maybe even close to 20 times. Over The Rhine. Their music is sacred and food for my soul.
Thankfully JM loves them as well and we have made it a yearly tradition since 2002 to see them in concert every year. They come to LA about once a year. Last night was the night. A date night for us that we've been looking forward to for months. Over the Rhine performed at the El Rey and it was nothing but a stellar performance. Perfect venue, perfect 3rd row seats and perfect musicianship. They cause me to want to create music and sing and perform! I sure miss it.
