Our baby is 1!!!

A year ago on December 17th 2014,

our sweet Simeon John was born.

Fastest year of my life.

What a amazing gift he was and is to us. 

After loosing 2 babies before him, his arrival was nothing less than a miracle.

 Truly.

The fact that he came a week before Christmas Eve was extra special for us. Our baby Simeon arrived as we were anticipating the arrival of the Christ child.

His name was so fitting to us as we remember Simeon from Luke 2 who blessed Jesus and prophesied over him at just 8 days old.

We love celebrating Simeon's Birthday in the midst of celebrating this glorious time of year.

Happy Birthday Simeon John.

Oh, how you are loved and cherished. We thank God every day for your life.

 He is so mobile...not walking yet but it is almost impossible to have him sit for a picture!

We celebrated Simeon's 1st Birthday with family on December 5th.

For all our kids, I made a little time capsule jar for their first Birthdays. Family and friends wrote notes, prayers etc. to them. The plan is to give them these jars on their sweet 16. I"m sentimental and nostalgic.

This little boy would not let go of his balloon for anything. It wasn't tied to his wrist. He just held a tight grip on the string all day and evening long!

This was Simeon's actual Birthday on the 17th.

We went to the most delish vegan restaurant in Venice Beach called Cafe Gratitude

We picked up a little treat for us to share with Sim on his Bday.

My Uncle Oscar and Auntie Laurie always remember our kid's Birthdays. It blesses my heart and the kids love receiving their cards in the mail....and the special Birthday $.
