Here is our beginning stages of our garden. JM first added sand to our soil. The original soil was so full of clay. This will allow the water to drain much better. See the orchids in the back ground....my valentine present from JM. Sweet!

Papa's little garden helper
The next day JM added some organic compost and dug a big trench.

Done for the day. A hard days work.

Our Ju Ju is 7 months old! He's getting so big! He grabs everything and puts it in his mouth! He also is rolling around constantly! Crawling is coming soon! And, look at all of his hair!

It's so hard being 3....

Naw...it's a blast. Our Gabriella continues to make us laugh.

Gabriella quotes
Me: "JM, give me your pants so I can iron them."
Gabriella: "Mommy, can't Papa just wear his pants and then you can just iron his legs."
(Spending the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house)
Gabriella: (While laying down with Grandma at night) "Grandma, I have so many things going through my mind right now.
Grandma: " Like what Mija?"
Gabriella: " Like cancer. Why do people get cancer?"
(Did I mention she's 3?)
(Driving down the road with Grandma, Mo and Gabriella)
Grandpa: "I haven't been to to that restaurant in ages. They used to have the best steaks."
Gabriella: (My vegetarian daughter) "Grandpa, what are steaks?"

This was the first time Gabriella and Jude took a bath together. Yay for Bumbo chairs!
Sunday we celebrated Mom's 71st Bday, Ron's 47th Bday and my 37th Bday. We all went to Santa Monica and ate at the Vegan Restaurant "Real Food Daily" Yummm!
Oh....you'll never BELIEVE what my brother and sister got me for my Bday. I cried....(I even saw my dad and sis tear up)
It's been a dream of mine for a long time!
They got me a ticket to see
PAUL McCARTNEY
at the Hollywood bowl. Going with them of course.
I can't wait and I'm going to bring my very worn Linda McCartney's Vegetarian cook book with me just in case I need something for him to sign. You never know. Wishful thinking???
Then we went walking on 3rd street promenade and then for a stroll on the Santa Monica pier.
I didn't get a pic of Grandma and Grandpa or little Grandma! What's wrong with me!
Gabriella enjoyed the fun rides

Why am I standing that way?

After, we went back to Real Food Daily bakery and bought a Chocolate cupcake. Doesn't it look like a Hostess cupcake?!This is vegan (no eggs, no butter, no milk), made with regular wheat and spelt flower and sweetened with Maple syrup crystals. YUM!

Gabriella and Mama: Lessons on drawing clowns. You know whose is whose.
