This trip to Reedley was especially beautiful. All of the fruit blossoms were in bloom. We took my sister Monica to the farm this time. She loved it. We had fun outside, played games at night (Miss Scarlett with the rope in the ballroom), and had a nice lunch with Grandma Nickel.

Everytime someone gets married, passes away or has a new baby, my inlaws plant a tree on their property. Ebeneezer trees. Here is Gabriella's tree we planted for her in September of 2006. It's getting really big! This trip we planted a tree for Jude. I know this may sound odd but I saved my placenta after giving birth to Jude. In some cultures the new mother eats her placenta, others cast it in plaster or make art prints with it...how arty can you be! I decided to plant it with Jude's tree. It's rich in iron and I have heard that nourishes whatever you plant with it. We'll see!

Here it is. It's been in our freezer for 7 months...obviously sealed and tightly wrapped up!

Ahhh....done! More picture to come......

Jude is 8 months! He's talking a lot, waving and just started clapping too. No teeth yet but I'm starting to see little white buds.

Last by not lease....quotes from Miss Gabriella.
Gabriella: Mama, Auntie Mo has a sweet tooth huh.
Me: Yah, she does....Papa does too.
Gabriella:Yah, Papa does...I have a sweet tooth too... but I also have a veggie tooth.
Gabriella: Mama, what's that ?! (pointing to the little raised mole on the side of my neck)
Me: What? Oh that's my mole.
Gabriella: Oh...I thought it was a glued on berry!
Gabriella: (After finding a nickel on the ground) Here Papa, here's some money...you can give it to the government.

Thanks for sharing all of the pics from your trip to Reedley. It was fun to remember our weekend together. Loved seeing the garden pics. too. It looks great and we hope it produces great veggies this year.
I loved the "government comment" from Ella. We miss you all!
