It's Garden Time!

It's that time of year again. We're excited to have our organic garden up an running again. Last weekend we went to the Fullerton Arboretum Tomato and Pepper Plant Sale. We got 10 different varieties of tomato plants...Heirlooms as well as Hybrids...Yellow, Pink, Green, White and Red Tomatoes. Can't wait.
John-Mark always has a lot of physical work to do in order to prepare the soil.  He enjoys getting dirty and working hard....especially when his little apprentice gardener Gabriella is there to help. It is a lot of work right at the beginning (and at times stress on JM) but soon we will enjoy the harvest of it all.  Some other things we'll be growing...Eggplant, Italian Parsley, Mint, Snap Peas, Green Chard, and Lettuce...for now anyways.

Gabriella and JM bought some ranunculus and poppies at the nursery as well. Nice to have some pretty colors among all the green. I like ranunculus, they are so lovely and look almost like they're made of paper. We had roses and ranunculus as the main flowers in our wedding . They went well with all the citrus. :)  What you don't see is Jude pulling a lot of the petals off minutes after JM planted them. Ho Hum.

Jude's showing Gabriella the edible flower seeds." Sissy Look!!"

He's looking more and more like JM. I like that.

She's so happy when she's helping her Papa

All that work...and then a big storm hit. He's got more work to do.........
