Sunday was a stormy day! We hadn't had one of these in a while. In the middle of the night I woke up to the rain and said to John-Mark "Are our tomato plants going to be ok??" Our poor little heirloom babies.
After church I decided to make something fun for the munchkins. Cornstarch finger paint. No spill!! The texture is sort of weird but the kids and I liked it. JM, not so much. I put some butcher paper on the kitchen floor and they went to town. I'm sure Jude ate some of it. Ah well.
This recipe is from The Toddler Busy Book:
3 TBSP sugar
1/2 cup corn starch
2 cups cold water
heat and stir over medium until thick.
Then mix in one drop dish soap and food coloring of choice (baby food containers work great for this). Finger Paint and enjoy!

I agree, I think it was a little too thick, and it didn't last to a second use. It was like jello by then. But still very fun, and super glad it made my kiddos happy for a bit!
