Our Ansel Finn turned 4 yesterday!
When he woke up on Saturday he was surprised by all his birthday decorations and gifts.
I love having a tall hubby! He's so useful...I mean HELPFUL!...like when I need mass amounts of streamers hung on the ceiling.:)

Jude and Gabriella love giving gifts to their brother. It really is so sweet how they want to make things special for him. homemade cards and all.
Look at this card Gabriella drew for Ansel. It's just so cute, complete with a rhyming birthday message inside.
He got a Blaze book from Sis.
Blaze is his new favorite Nick Jr show he likes to watch at Grandma's.
"The Incredibles" card specially made from Jude.
Jude gave Ansel a book with a cd to follow along. These are new favorites too.
We gave him "Blaze and Crusher" trucks.
"Crusher" is one of Blaze's friends.
I think almost every day Ansel said he wanted a different party theme. Let me see if I can remember....Peter Pan, LA Dodger, Lighting McQueen, Blaze, Incredibles....party. We finally told him last week..."Ansel, Mama and Papa will surprise you. " He liked it.
Grandma, Uncle Aaron and Auntie Robin came to celebrate with us. Opa and Omi flew to Germany that day, both Auntie Mo and Uncle Ronnie were working and Grandpa stayed home to rest....We'll celebrate with them tomorrow.
Ansel adores his Auntie Robin. It's mutual.
A little lunch/dinner...or "Linner" or as the kids call it "Lun-din" I like that better.
Cake Time. Ansel was very specific and said he didn't want cupcakes this time...he wanted a big cake. So, papa made him a big chocolate cake with chocolate ganache....Gluten Free and sweetened with Grade B Maple syrup. It was delosh.

Such simple party. It was a wonderful time with family. Ansel was a blessed little boy and was so thankful for his special party. Ansel, we love you so much son. You bring so much life and laughter to our family! We love your spunk, your independence, your outgoing personality and your friendliness. You are wonderful blessing to all of us and we love you so much! We pray God will continue to draw your little heart close to Him and that you would know and be in awe at how much He loves you son.
Thanks Omi and Opa for the firefighter suit and crayon box which Ansel refuses to put crayons in because he says it's for his lunch! And Happy Birthday to you Omi. Enjoy your European vacation!

Enjoyed reminiscing the time with the fam and had to watch the video twice with Ansel. It was so fun. Love the expressions and that we got to enjoy that time with the little man and the fam! Much love!
