Birthday Celebrations Continued...

Last weekend JM and I planned a special family day to celebrate our kid's Birthdays. We had several surprises up our sleeves. First stop...Color Me Mine in Brea. Our friend Gina took her son to Color Me Mine on his 1st Bday to make a special  plate. I really liked this idea and thought the kids would too. They can enjoy these plates every year on their Birthday....at least while they are little. Oh, they had a ball! Happy mommy too...non-toxic paints and  water based!

We just let them both go to town with the paints. It was so fun to see them enjoy themselves.

Next stop...home for lunch...but then after... Yogurt Land for a treat. Yes, I let them have frozen yogurt.. can you believe!  JM especially wanted to take them there because of the special Hello Kitty promotion. JM designs for Yogurt Land so it's always fun to see his hard work plastered all over the shop. (JM designed the entire YL website too...proud wife.):)

Stop #3 the LACMA! JM and I so enjoy going to art museums and desire for our kids to grow up with an appreciation for the arts. They both really seamed interested and enjoyed the collection.
Did you know that if you sign up your kids for lacma annual passes, each child can bring one adult for free! The passes are  free for kids 18 and under so our family of 4 was totally free! Too good to be true? No, it is true! Take advantage of this!!

Besides visiting the permanent collection, we visited this fantastic little children's art room set up with tempura paints, oriental style brushes and paper. It was so fun! Jude decided to paint his hair and face.

There was a special installation art piece outside that we all went it. Some creative artist decided to hang hundreds of neon green rubber cords from the ceiling to the floor. It was a blast to get lost inside!

Lastly we took the kids to dinner at Real Food Daily in West Hollywood...I guess this was more of a treat for JM and me but we all had a scrumptious meal. They were all tuckered out and slept really well that night. :)
