Our Jude Turns 2!

Today on July 21st our dear Jude turned 2. Our baby boy...who is not so much a baby any more...in fact is shortly on his way to being a big brother. We love him so and can't imaging our family without this little man. Happy Birthday son. You are a joy and a blessing and we love and adore you!

Gabriella and I took him to our park for a picnic lunch.

Packed a lunch filled with some of his favs. This kid is a fruit-aholic. Truly. Fruit, all day, every day. He's in heaven with grapes, apples, oranges, berries, peaches, nectarines, kiwis.... Constipation is not something he really struggles with. Bonus.

Other things about Jude.....

-Hungry kid...sometimes he acts like I never feed him.
-Loves his sissy and wants the things she has...her shoes, her toys, her pens, her play dough, her jewels.
-Hates to have his hair cut or trimmed...I have to sneak the scissors in when I can.
-Loves to sleep with his stuffed Shrek...he's never seen the movie just loves the ogre.
-He loves to drink water...tons of water. Good habit to have.
-Like I said before...Fruit lover. Also loves whole grain bread, pretzels, hummus, Lara bars, raisins and other dried fruit, yams, cheese, smoothies and crunching on ice like his dad.
-Loves to be outside...plays in the dirt and enjoys it but then hates that his hands are dirty.
-Loves the pool.
-Hides to poop...usually in the corner by the book shelf or under the easel. He will shoo me away when I find him and say "going poo-poo."
-Has the most amazing pitch. The kid could carry a tune well at 15 months.
-Likes to say "Hi People"
- Knows who Ina Garten is and hums the barefoot contessa theme song.
-Adores Elmo and Baby Bop from Barney....it was hand-me-down action figure that became a fav. Who knew?
-Loves to say"Oh Kayyyyy"
-Can name tons of fruits and veggies thanks to this  wonderfully illustrated book.
- Loves to snuggle, kiss Mama and Papa and Sissy and the baby in the tummy. He's so so sweet.

I love that he knows the Barefoot Contessa theme song! What a guy:)

Loved talking with you yesterday. Can't wait to see you and your kids and the belly! Hugs from the Doans.

He's a doll. I think Ollie looks quite a bit like him.

And greta has that dress in torquoise with a, as she calls it, "Mercedes symbol" on it. (Peace sign.) Good one, Greta.
