Gabriella loves to craft. Whenever there is cutting, gluing, painting...she is in her element. I read this blog about making paper shoes. It was a cool idea but there wasn't a tutorial which was disappointing. I tried to find out how to make paper shoes without any luck. That didn't stop my girl though. She came up with her own design for a paper shoes and made it all by herself....well, I helped trace her feet.
I was impressed!
A couple weekends ago JM's cousin Beth came for a visit. Gabriella loves Beth and was so excited she was coming. The two sat for at least an hour or more (while I made dinner...Thanks Beth!) and made up a new card game. Crafty girls!
Since it's Fall we needed to make a Fall craft, right? Gabriella made 2 beautiful wreathes out of apple prints. I taped brown butcher paper on the table, then sliced apples both ways and used red, yellow and green paint to dip.
Paint shirt on
Add a craft stick and dip and press
We let it dry then she cut out the apples.
I love her little tongue as she cuts.
(I didn't get a picture of her gluing the apples around a paper plate....)
I added some seeds for a little detail then tied a string through the wreathes and
Ta-da!
Ta-da!
I really dislike using flash but it was too dark without.
I think it came out really nice and it adds some prettiness to our dull door.
I love my little arts and craft girl. Maybe she'll be a professional artist when she grow up. I don't know...last she told me she wants to write books about health..um...yeah....she is her mother's daughter and her grandmother's granddaughter. :)
